DMC has developed a PC-based, multi-UP ECU flashing station solution for downloading application, bootloader, and calibrations to vehicle control modules over CAN (Controller Area Networks) Bus. The station includes relays and power supplies for programming multiple ECUs simultaneously, either as a batch or asynchronously. The hardware solution for CAN communication can be based on either NI’s XNET platform or Vector Vflash Station. Supported CAN protocols include Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) and SAE J1939, while any custom CAN or serial protocols can be easily accommodated. The system includes standard heavy-duty harnesses, or alternatively, custom designed ECU fixturing, to provide an easy connection process for flashing station operators.
